Our ecological approach is divided into three key stages:
Responsible Production Practices:
- Implementation of Operation Clean Sweep: Our company recognizes the importance of preventing the loss of resin pellets to the environment, and we are committed to implementing the Canadian Plastics Industry Association’s Operation Clean Sweep program at our facility.
- Use of closed-circuit water: We use closed-circuit water to minimize waste and protect groundwater; Reaffirming our commitment to the sustainable management of water resources.
Ecological Energy and Material Management:
- Heat recovery from production processes: We recover the heat generated by molds to heat our facilities, which helps reduce external energy consumption.
- Lighting optimization: Installation of motion-activated LED lighting systems to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.
- White Roof: Our plant is composed of a white elastomeric membrane on its roof. It reflects heat and offers higher lifespan. It also helps to diminish electric consumption within the plant.
Recycling:
- Advanced recycling of materials: used plastics and cardboard, but also used oils, demonstrating a real circular economy.
- Use of recycled materials: Extensive experience in the use of post-industrial and post-consumer recycled plastic and 100% recycled fibers in production, confirming our determination to reduce the use of virgin resources and promote recycled materials.
